About Urban Wild Play
Gilly Dukes founded Urban Wild Play in 2018. Initially working as a free lance forest school leader, she subsequently trained as a therapeutic forest school practitioner.
Seeing a need for a greater understanding of the practical skills associated with forest schooling, Gilly has undertaken advanced training in bushcraft skills. This has led to Gilly being awarded an Outdoor and Experiential Learning masters in a degree in Bushcraft.
Growing up in Devon and then continuing her education in Yorkshire, Gilly has a depth of knowledge from 30 years of working outdoors.
Gilly regularly supports the Institute of Outdoor Learning in delivery of bushcraft workshops at the Bushcraft Show and Wilderness Gatherings.
When not working, Gilly has a passion for music and cycling – neither of which she feels are getting any better! On occasion, she is accompanied by one of her ferrets to activities.
